Does it seem that your teenager listened to you before they went off to college and now have tuned you permanently out? If so we will have on hand Dr. Carol Probstfeld to give us direction on how to increase our presence and influence with the college crowd.
Dr. Carol Probstfeld is the president of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. She assumed her position January 22, 2013, as the sixth president of the area's oldest and largest public institution of higher education. With three campuses in Bradenton, Venice and Lakewood Ranch, SCF proudly serves residents of Manatee and Sarasota counties with 27,000 credit students annually and more than 40,000 graduates. Another 14,000 participants annually take classes and workshops in the noncredit division.
Dr. Probstfeld previously served as interim president of SCF while continuing her role as vice president of business and administrative services, a position she held since 2003. As vice president, she oversaw the $50 million annual operating budget for SCF, a $100 million enterprise and major economic driver in the region.
